On April 10th, Haltom Theater became the epicenter of raw, unfiltered hardcore as Southpaw FLHC headlined a stacked night featuring Eternal Punishment, Death Rattle TX, Cut Throat, and The Cutthroats from California.
It was a gritty, no-frills show that reminded everyone why we keep showing up — pure connection, heavy energy, and zero pretense.
From the chaos of Southpaw’s set to the diverse sounds of the local support, the night was a celebration of hardcore's beating heart: unity, aggression, and authenticity.
Photographing it was a rush — every mic grab, pit spin, and crowd shout captured the spirit of a scene that's as alive as ever.
Stay tuned for more coverage as Heavy Havoc continues to highlight the bands and nights keeping hardcore loud, real, and unapologetic.
Stay loud. Stay heavy.

So that happened on April 10th at Haltom theater. One of those shows you don't really talk about, you just sort of show up to and let yourself be completely battered about by.
No big production, no industry type press release or anything, just a full room of people that were ready to feel something and a bill that most certainly delivered. Southpaw FLHC at the top of a bill with Eternal Punishment, Death Rattle TX, Cut Throat, and California's the Cutthroats came to play (yes two cut throats one with a space and one without), and I'm going to say every single band that played earned their spot on this bill.
The set that was Southpaw's was pure controlled mayhem. There was something about the lead singer on stage that was impossible to take your eyes off of, every lyric seemed like a personal anecdote, every mic grab like a proclamation, that's what hardcore is about. That's the show supposed to be, not about an art piece that must be perfect, but a demonstration. Photographing it itself was a workout because there was so much energy flowing between the pit and stage, there wasn't much space to breath or stand still. This dude was hella winded.
The locals on this bill weren't just some after thought to put you in your seat before the headliner. Each band brought something to the table, from full-on death metal, some real deal late 90's/early 2000's nu-metal energy from Death Rattle to some straight up, no holds bars punk. The crowd ate every single bit of it up! That's where there's no such thing as too much from an underground show that is put together right. There's not some wall separating the stage and the audience. It's a relationship between the people up there playing their hearts out for those in front of them that want it and have come for it.
The Cutthroats brought a taste of that California mosh spirit and never eased off, intimidating in the best way possible. The set from California's the Cutthroats reminded everyone why it's better to go out and rage than stay at home doing nothing.
You felt the show in your chest after, you could feel the kicks to the body, the mic grab to the throat it all came crashing down on you. The underground can be loud as shit and there are going to be shows in fort Worth for those that like it that way. We're going to keep putting more coverage together for that reason.
Stay Loud, Stay Heavy.
